St. Julian Fights Breast Cancer with Simply Pink

St. Julian winery in Paw Paw has produced a semi-dry blush table wine dubbed Simply Pink. Simply Pink refers to more than just the color of the wine; it refers to the winery's commitment to fund breast cancer research.
A portion of the sale of every bottle will be donated to The National Breast Cancer Foundation. Simply Pink is dedicated to the memory of Julia Meconi Braganini (1926-1971), the daughter of Mariano Meconi, the founder of St. Julian.
St. Julian produced about 2500 cases of Simply Pink with the 2008 harvest and plans to bottle 5000 cases from the 2009 harvest. It is made with a blend of Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, all grown in Southwest Michigan.
You can pick up Simply Pink in any of the five tasting rooms that St. Julian operates or at select retailers in the Kalamazoo and Detroit area.
